SURF ON THE WAVE...JOIN THE AVALANCHE!
Against capitalism, its wars, patriarchy and racism!

For several years, when the "large ones" of this world (which is not us) meet, they have had to bear the nuisances caused by a multitude of various people come from around the world who have in common not to be the "large ones" (that, that can be us) and to be very angry for many reasons against their decisions. For this reason in 1998 in Geneva, in 2000 in Seattle, in 2001 in Prague, Gothenburg and Genoa, in 2002 in Barcelona and in Davos for several years running, hundreds of thousands of women and men have said that enough was enough! That misery and domination should not be the most widespread "goods" in the world!

These angers do not appear solely at the time of the summits but are the fruit of a daily resistance to all oppressions, a resistance that exists around the world and right in our own backyard. The fight against globalisation is not a fight against the summits, but a fight for a life and a future free of domination of any kind.

This system cannot be reformed or simply humanized. It is not a question of reforming or discussing with the WEF (World Economic Forum), WTO (World Trade Organization) or the G8 (group of the eight presidents of the most industrialized countries in the world) but a question of destroying them. Against chicken pox we do not choose the mumps because it scratches less!

During the summits and in everyday life, the state responds with all its power, using repression to close the mouths of those who dispute the cruelty of the social order. Repression is not only the bludgeons and rifles during the demos but a daily reality, which is the spinal cord of the system. The fight against repression is not only the creation of support committee for prisoners and the denunciation of police abuses, but also the daily refusal of the security paranoia and its actors. In the South, in the face of resistance, it is with war that the oppressors impose their economic choices.

Against the social-liberals and the reformists of all kinds for which change comes from the conquest of the capacities of the state and by the investment of its institutions (which go hand in hand with G8 and co.), we base our project of resistance and alternative construction on people's self-determination, on self-management and autonomy in our struggles, on the re-appropriation of the rights, spaces, riches, desires and time which each one of us needs both individually and collectively.

The WEF, G8, WTO, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and NATO insure by various channels (political, economic, financial, military, and ideological) that misery runs smoothly around the world. And dictatorship of the capital too! Their actions are aimed at the power and profit in all fields of our life and that of all the living beings of this planet.

In fact, these international organizations intervene in what we eat (GMO, loss of control on the quality of food), what we breathe (plunder and destruction of natural resources, pollution of all kinds), in what we are taught (privatisation of education, sponsored profitable "teaching" by companies), in our health (patents, privatised medicine, increasingly difficult working conditions), in the relationship between the people of the world (North-South imbalance, reinforcement of the borders, displacement and impoverishment of populations, of women and children), in the re-enforcement of patriarchy (attacks on women's rights, violence against lesbians and gays...), in the plundering of resources in the South by the companies of the North, ("preventive" wars or simply war in it's self), in our freedoms (video surveillance, international policing...).

Of all these aggressions, one or the other of these institutions is directly in charge. No matter what the governments and the C.E.O's say, this capitalist, state-run, racist and sexist society is neither unchangeable nor guaranteed to succeed. On the contrary, some of the most important companies of capitalist globalisation, such as Vivendi or FIAT, have collapsed. Elsewhere in the world, Argentina is an example that shows us the neo-liberal project is failing and that revolt is in action.

If capitalism is sick, let's help die! For this reason if you want to take part in this struggle, don't hesitate to jump on the train of resistance! Against the summits in Davos and Evian we wish to organize actions, festivals, debates, performances and, during the week leading up to the G8, all kinds of rejoicing! So, if you are interested in making posters, masks, theatre, a film, debates, concerts, demos, etc (all proposals are welcome), get in touch!
